You know it's great to be optimistic about the change and everything...but u should know that India as a demography is so diverse and u can only produce shows targeting niche...whether it is the middle class...lower middle...middle middle. upper middle...upper class...u have to target one class at a time...u cannot target the country as a whole... the TV right now is only targeting one particular segment...because of the previous track records...the trick is in knowing your TA and tapping them as effectively as possible...also the big guys with money and power to make the shift happen have to realizes that every section of the socio-eco class has enough potential to be targeted independently...and the whole of the TV economy need not ride on just one class alone...all of the programmes that are targeted to their respective niches can co-exist...and do well...! Once the business model is in place creativity can follow...!!...and also the industry as whole has to pull up it's socks and get more organized to rise above media crazy...!...people are very lazy...they just talk about doing something different...but when it comes to really acting on it. They want a short-cut...that saves them money and resources...the whole industry are just being paisa wise and rupee foolish...!!!
